A Primary 7 Maths class and a Primary 1 Reading lesson awaited Neil as he went to observe lessons at St Matia Mulumba this morning. Meanwhile, Ted and Judi met with Gonzaga, to begin a series of meetings covering management training , individual appraisals and evaluating the workload.

This morning saw us head into Masaka for a meeting with the Director of Caritas for the Masaka District, to explain about our work, to hear about the work Caritas is involved in and, to see if there are areas where our work overlaps and we may therefore be able to partner together.

This morning Neil, Judi and Ted had a second meeting with Gonzaga to look mostly at individual children’s accounts and how sponsorship money and expenses are recorded. As there was time left before lunch, Judi and Gonzaga sorted clothing which had been donated by people in the UK for the school children…

2nd July: Theo and Prossy are the girls here at the compound who are cooking for us and, today, we enjoyed a breakfast of omelette and cow pea samosas and a lunch with fresh fried fish from Lake Victoria. We certainly feel we are being well looked after.
