On an overcast but dry day in October, EVC Uganda held an afternoon tea to provide feedback on our work to date but above all to say thank you to all our sponsors and donors. The Charity has been officially registered and operating for approximately one year.
This event also coincided with a visit by Fr Boniface to the UK so we persuaded him to address the prestigious throng. He gave us a wonderful insight into the ongoing work in the schools in the Masaka parishes and the real difference our child sponsorships and project donations have already made to the lives of so many children.
Always the salesman Father brought with him DVDs of the children singing and Christmas Cards made by the children in school.
Our Chairman, Ted Fawcett gave a brief outline of progress of the charity to date. (We have surpassed our target of 100th child sponsored).
And then there was nothing for it but to tuck in to the gorgeous cakes and light refreshments. None of us had room to eat anything else for the rest of the day!!!
