We would like to thank you!
July 2021
According to Alice Walker, ‘Thank You is the best prayer anyone can say’. Therefore, we would like to say a big thank you to all of you, as the story of EVC Uganda would not be complete without you.
But, saying thank you is not an easy task, when the reasons for our gratitude are so many and so wide:
To the sponsors who now provide education and board and lodging to 300 children and take a personal interest in the wellbeing of their sponsored children, sending them gifts at birthdays and Christmas and educational materials and clothing throughout the year.
To our community of Donors who give money to support our projects to improve the buildings and facilities of the schools, to date including a Boys’ and a Girls’ Dormitories, a solar powered water pump and our current projects to equip and stock a School Library at St Matia Mulumba Primary School.
To the individuals and, charitable trusts such as The Allan & Nesta Ferguson Trust and Wilmslow Wells for Africa, who have provided additional substantial funding to allow us confidently to proceed with other significant capital projects, such as the new classroom block and water harvesting schemes at St Matia Mulumba.
To partner organisations like Workaid, who have supported our efforts to establish and improve vocational training facilities at St Kizito
To the volunteers and Trustees who give generously of their time to support the development of professional standards in the schools and in the running of the charity here in the UK.
To the community of churches who invite us to present our work to their congregations and go on to support us further with donations.
To Father Boniface and the teachers at St Kizito and St Matia Mulumba Primary Schools, for the hard work they put in to translating your generosity, to impact on the lives of the children of Uganda.
And to the children themselves, for giving us the opportunity to open our hearts to work toward their empowerment, so they can live better lives in a better Uganda.
From the Trustees and key workers of EVC Uganda, we thank you all for your loyalty, your unwavering support and, the belief you share in our mission to transform the lives of children in Uganda through education.
