Latest update on schools

The Department of Education in Uganda has published term dates for primary and secondary schools during 2022
It is proposed that schools will reopen on 10th January and there will be three terms each of 14 weeks. The full table of term dates can be seen below.

Total: 42 weeks
The youngest children in Uganda have not been in school for 21 months. Please pray with us :
- that these dates will not be affected by the new Omicron variant and that schools will in fact open on that date
- that the schools will be able to keep children safe from infection during term time.
- that teaching staff will be able to catch children up on the work missed during the time schools have been closed.
