March 2022

Tuesday 1st

Give thanks for the Catholic church in Winchester raising funds through their Lenten appeal for the new Nursery building at St Matia Mulumba.

Wednesday 2nd

Pray for Father Boniface with all his responsibilities within his parish, deanery and with EVC Uganda.

Thursday 3rd

For Gonzaga, Prossy and Margaret to be able to carry out their responsibilities well.

Friday 4th

For the appeal in Uckfield, Sussex this weekend and for Judi as she speaks.

Saturday 5th

Pray that members of this congregation will be motivated to sponsor a child in education.

Sunday 6th

Pray for those older children who are unwilling to return to school after lockdown and for Margaret and Gonzaga as they seek to counsel them.

Monday 7th

For the new headteacher, Denis, at St Matia Mulumba, that he will settle well into his duties and be able to motivate both staff and students to give of their best.

Tuesday 8th

Pray that schools will remain open and that any cases of COVID 19 will be able to be controlled.

Wednesday 9th

For wise decision making by the EVC Board as there are many projects under consideration at present.

Thursday 10th

For all our sponsored children to learn well and reach their full potential.

Friday 11th

Phil is speaking at a church in Thanet this weekend. Pray for her and for a positive response to what she shares.

Saturday 12th

Continue to pray for provision of library books through BookAid International for St Matia Mulumba.

Sunday 13th

For new teaching staff in our primary schools, that they will settle quickly into their jobs.

Monday 14th

For the bid to SPICMA for funding for furniture and sewing machines to be successful.

Tuesday 15th

For stamina for Phil, Gordon, Judi and Ted as they travel many miles at weekends to give appeals in different churches.

Wednesday 16th

For parents in the communities we serve to understand the importance of education for their children.

Thursday 17th

Pray for Ted as he has the responsibility of leading the charity.

Friday 18th

This weekend there is an appeal in Radstock. Pray that parishioners will be positive about sponsoring a child and that they will give generously.

Saturday 19th

For our Trustee, Yinka, as he investigates the possibility of developing a trading arm of the charity.

Sunday 20th

For Gonzaga, Prossy and Margaret working under difficult circumstances in Uganda.

Monday 21st

For Gordon as he works on plans and liaises with Uganda regarding a new Nursery building at St Matia Mulumba.

Tuesday 22nd

For extra volunteers here in the UK, who will be able to help with the every increasing opportunities to develop our work further.

Wednesday 23rd

For the success of our governance visit which will hopefully take place in July this year.

Thursday 24th

That more children will be given the opportunity to go to school.

Friday 25th

Tomorrow and Sunday Judi will be speaking at an appeal in Beckenham, Kent. Pray for a positive response and good conversations with the parishioners.

Saturday 26th

Give thanks for the way the Lord has developed our work and pray that Jesus will continue to guide and lead in all things.

Sunday 27th

Pray for Brenda, Jesca and Praxeda studying in university and for Batate Maria studying for a diploma in Textiles and Tailoring.

Monday 28th

Give thanks for our faithful sponsors who care so well for the children they support.

Tuesday 29th

Pray for the Donor Care evenings taking place this year, the first one is in early April in Bedford.

Wednesday 30th

Pray for the twins who  have recently finished university and are seeking jobs.

Thursday 31st

Pray for teachers dealing with large class sizes, that they will get to know the abilities of each of the children and how best to help them.
