Friday 1st July

Pray for Neil, Ted and Judi as they arrived at the projects in Uganda yesterday - for good health and an ability to encourage and support those ‘on the ground’ in Uganda

Saturday 2nd July

Pray for Neil, our Treasurer, that he will gain a good overview of the finances as he meets with Gonzaga over a period of three days.

Sunday 3rd July

There is a large remit to fulfil during the time in Uganda. Pray that time will be used well and that everything necessary will be achieved.

Monday 4th July

Pray for the meetings which will be held with the Headteacher at St Matia Mulumba.

Tuesday 5th July

Judi will be doing some teaching during the time in Uganda. Pray for an ability to pitch the lessons at the appropriate level.

Wednesday 6th July

Pray for the meeting today with the Headteacher and Staff of St Kizito Primary School.

Thursday 7th July

Today, Ted, Judi and Neil will be meeting with the Bishop of Masaka, our Patron. Pray for a fruitful discussion and solutions to issues which need solving.

Friday 8th July

Neil will be seeking to gain an overview of Safeguarding procedures at both primary schools and will give relevant training where necessary. Please pray for this.

Saturday 9th July

Pray for safety on the roads, as many journeys will be undertaken during this governance visit.

Sunday 10th July

Continue to pray for the families we work with - for a positive attitude and approach to education for their children.

Monday 11th July

Neil sets out to return home today and Roger arrives from the UK. Pray for Father Boniface undertaking the long drive to the airport today and then back tomorrow.

Tuesday 12th July

Pray for Ted as he will meet with Gonzaga during the visit to give management training.

Wednesday 13th July

There are many needs in the schools. Pray for realistic expectations and an ability to recognise the priorities.

Thursday 14th July

Today Judi, Ted and Roger meet with the parents of sponsored children. Pray that these parents will be receptive to ideas of how they can develop income generating projects and therefore be able to better support their children with school needs.

Friday 15th July

Today there is a meeting with the Diocesan Education Secretary, Father Michael, our newest Trustee. Pray for a wide ranging and positive discussion and an ability to see the way ahead.

Saturday 16th July

Janet is a new member of staff who has come to assist Gonzaga. Pray that she will settle in well and that good relationships will be formed between them and also with Prossy.

Sunday 17th July

Today the new boys’ dormitory and the new five classroom block will be officially opened. Give thanks for God’s faithful provision and pray for a wonderful day of celebration.

Monday 18th July

Today, Ted, Judi and Roger will join the meeting of the Board of Governors at St Kizito. Pray for this time, that Ted and Judi will be able to see areas where EVC can have input / help.

Tuesday 19th July

St Matia Mulumba’s Board of Governors meets today. Pray that Ted and Judi will gain an understanding of the plans for this school and see where EVC can help.

Wednesday 20th July

Today there is a meeting with the Vicar General and later with Caritas. Pray for an ability to see areas where we may be able to work together on projects.

Thursday 21st July

Pray for all our sponsored children that they will have a positive attitude to being in school and that they will be helped to reach their full potential.

Friday 22nd July

Today and tomorrow there are meetings with the EVC Chairman in Uganda and with his Committee. Pray for positive outcomes from these times of discussion.

Saturday 23rd July

Teachers work with large numbers of children in their classes. Pray that they will be able to understand the abilities of the individual children and know how best to help them.

Sunday 24th July

Today there will be a farewell celebration held within the local church community. Pray for the children as they perform and for enjoyment for all concerned.

Monday 25th July

Continue to pray for the headteachers Josephine and Denis in their responsibilities leading the primary schools.

Tuesday 26th July

Everyone will take time to relax over the next two days. Pray for enjoyment as there is opportunity to view the wildlife of Uganda in the game park.

Wednesday 27th July

Pray for the support staff in the schools, matrons, security and kitchen staff.

Thursday 28th July

Pray for Prossy in her role overseeing the maintenance of the buildings and water pump at St Matia Mulumba.

Friday 29th July

Continue to pray for Father Boniface with his many responsibilities - for energy, capacity and ability from the Lord to meet the many needs.

Saturday 30th July

Pray for safe travel for Roger flying to Australia and Judi and Ted flying home today and tomorrow.

Sunday 31st July

Give thanks to God for his goodness and provision over these past 8 years of the charity’s existence.
