Tues 1st |
Pray for Elizabeth, one of our secondary students, facing health issues, that doctors will be able to find a solution to the problems she is experiencing. |
Wed 2nd |
Pray for Father Boniface, now visiting the UK until 16th December. Pray for rest and relaxation and a good time with friends made over the years. |
Thurs 3rd |
Pray that teachers in our primary schools will give time to those Primary 7 students still needing help with aspects of the curriculum they will be examined on this month. |
Fri 4th |
Prossy is overseeing the implementation of work which needs to be finished off on the buildings at St Matia Mulumba. Pray for her as she manages these tasks. |
Sat 5th |
Pray for Gonzaga overseeing the whole work of EVC in Uganda. |
Sun 6th |
Give thanks for the many successful church appeals held this year. |
Mon 7th |
Beginning today those children in Primary 7 classes are sitting end of primary leaving exams. Pray for them – the exams continue until 9th November. |
Tues 8th |
Pray for Gordon as he researches other trusts and organisations to approach for support. |
Wed 9th |
Our Trustee Yinka, is wanting to set up a meeting with Tear Fund to discuss trading opportunities. Pray that he may be successful in this. |
Thurs 10th |
Pray for our Senior 4 students beginning O level examinations today. |
Fri 11th |
Continue to pray for all our children, that they will have an enthusiasm for learning and, be able to understand what they are taught. |
Sat 12th |
Pray for all those involved, both here and in Uganda, in the appointment of a nurse at St Matia Mulumba Primary School. Pray that the right person will be found for the job. |
Sun 13th |
Pray for the two primary schools, that God will give them good ideas for income generating projects which will help the schools. |
Mon 14th |
Pray for the families of our children as, at present, they are experiencing high costs for food and a poor maize harvest this year. |
Tues 15th |
Give thanks for Father Michael and his willingness to support Gonzaga in Father Boniface’s absence. |
Wed 16th |
Before the end of term, all children will be sitting end of year tests. Pray for good concentration and that each one will give of their best. |
Thurs 17th |
Pray for Judi as she speaks to a scout group in Dover tomorrow evening. |
Fri 18th |
A level examinations begin today. Roger is our only student sitting these in the next days. Pray for good success for him. |
Sat 19th |
Jannat is planning on setting up a Micro Finance group for parents and guardians at St Matia Mulumba Primary School. Pray that there will be a positive response to this from those in the community and that its benefits will be seen. |
Sun 20th |
Give thanks for the safe arrival at the project, of the tools given by Tools with a Mission. |
Mon 21st |
Pray that all the tools received will enable the teaching of new skills to the children. |
Tues 22nd |
Our Trustee Andy Hunt is researching medical charities with whom we could partner. Pray that he will be successful in this. |
Wed 23rd |
Give thanks for the faithfulness of our sponsors and the loving concern they show to the children they support. |
Thurs 24th |
Jannat is coordinating the writing of letters to sponsors. Pray that she may be able to gather all the letters together quickly. |
Fri 25th |
As we go forward, pray that the Trustees will make right decisions as we face competing priorities. |
Sat 26th |
Continue to pray for a good team spirit between Gonzaga, Prossy and Jannat, as they work together. |
Sun 27th |
There is need for a purpose built Nursery at St Matia Mulumba. Pray that, over time, God will provide all the funds needed for this. |
Mon 28th |
Continue to pray for the teaching staff in the schools, that they will prepare and teach well. |
Tues 29th |
Pray for the support staff in the schools – matrons, cooks, admin staff and security guards. |
Wed 30th |
Give thanks for the positive spirit and the unity among members of the EVC Board. |
