The New Nursery and Pre-school

Update on Construction
As of the end of September, building works are progressing exceptionally well on the new nursery and pre-school for St Matia Mulumba Primary School. This new building will accommodate 110 children ranging in ages from 4 to 6 years old.
The roof has been fitted and work has started on internal floors and finishes. Completion date for the building is on plan for February next year.
The building will have its own dining room. Work has started on a toilet block and the building will be fully kitted out with rainwater collection tanks and solar panels.
Children and teachers are looking forward to moving into these new purpose-built facilities and having adequate space at last for nursery teaching and external playground equipment.
The nursery is situated adjacent to the main road and will be fully enclosed and secure. It will also be a great advertisement for the primary school. The teachers are planning bright and attractive wall murals to attract attention.
When finished, St Matia Mulumba Primary School will have one of the best pre-schools in the Diocese if not the country.
