Saturday 1st

Give thanks for the good results achieved by students in the Primary 7 leaving exams.

Sunday 2nd

Pray for Gonzaga as she decides on the best secondary schools to send these students to when the new school year begins.

Monday 3rd

Pray for all parents whose children are beginning the new school year, that they will be able to provide the school needs they have and that parents of day pupils will have the money for the school fees.

Tuesday 4th

As the new term begins, pray that all students will return to school after the long Christmas holiday.

Wednesday 5th

Many of the childrens parents have never been to school. Pray that they will grow in their understanding of the value of education and the better future it will provide for their children.

Thursday 6th

Pray for the day school pupils that their parents will pay school fees on time so that the schools can run smoothly and without financial difficulties.

Friday 7th

Pray for all children leaving primary school and those who completed Senior 4, that they will listen to the advice given to them about the next stage of their education and be willing to follow what is advised.

Saturday 8th

Today and tomorrow, Judi is speaking at St Josephs RC church in Gerrards Cross. Pray for safe travel and a positive response from the congregations.

Sunday 9th

Pray that more people will take out child sponsorship.

Monday 10th

Many children are experiencing being in a new school this term. Pray that they will adjust to their new situations quickly, will make new friends and learn well.

Tuesday 11th

Give thanks for the many church appeals Ted has secured for 2025. He would like to get two more. Pray that God will provide these.

Wednesday 12th

Pray that all teaching staff will return to school this term and not leave without giving notice.

Thursday 13th

This afternoon, Roger Nicklen, one of our patrons, is taking two assemblies at St John Fisher RC Primary School in Pinner. Pray that the children will listen well and will be motivated to support EVCs work.

Friday 14th

If there is a need for any new teaching staff this term, pray that competent and well qualified people will quickly be found.

Saturday 15th

As the new school year begins, pray that teachers will be well prepared and enthusiastic about the material they are teaching.

Sunday 16th

Today Judi and Ted are making a presentation about EVC at Café Church in the Methodist Chapel in Wiiington. Pray for this time.

Monday 17th

Over twelve of our sponsored children completed their education this past year. Pray for them as they seek jobs where they can use the skills they have gained.

Tuesday 18th

Pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in the primary schools we use, that they will lead well and give good direction to staff and to pupils.

Wednesday 19th

The new Nursery at St Matia Mulumba is nearing completion. Pray that the final work of putting the glass in the windows, some decorating and tidying the grounds will be done well and quickly.

Thursday 20th

Pray that the school will be able to equip the Nursery with all the necessary equipment, books, toys and teaching materials, needed for these young children.

Friday 21st

Pray for those parents involved in saving through the SACCO groups, that they will begin to see the value of saving money for their childrens needs.

Saturday 22nd

There is a church appeal today and tomorrow in Manor Park East London. Pray for Judi and Ted as they speak to parishioners.

Sunday 23rd

Pray that people will give generously and that more children will gain sponsorship as a result of this weekend.

Monday 24th

Continue to pray for the EVC staff in Uganda, Gopnzaga, Prossy and Janet. Thank God for the tremendous contribution they make to our work.

Tuesday 25th

Pray for Father Boniface and Father Michael and their many responsibilities in the priesthood. Give thanks for their support to the EVC staff.

Wednesday 26th

Pray for those on the boards of governors in the two primary schools we use, that they will give good direction and support to school staff.

Thursday 27th

Pray for our children to have a positive attitude to education and that each one will fulfil their potential.

Friday 28th

Pray that those who have completed their education will maintain the contact with the EVC staff and be an encouragement and example to those children still in school.
