Tuesday 1st |
Pray for Gordon as he researches Trusts and Foundations which may be willing to fund some of the project work EVC needs to complete. Pray that God will enable him to make successful bids for funding. |
Wednesday 2nd |
Some of the children who completed Senior 4 and Senior 6 last year have not yet settled on the course they wish to follow going forward. Pray for them in their decision making, and that their parents and guardians will be able to help with the necessary fees for the courses they choose. |
Thursday 3rd |
Pray for the administrators in the different schools attended by our chlldren, that they will do all they can to support the EVC children, encouraging them to be disciplined and seeing it as important to keep in touch with the EVC staff. |
Friday 4th |
Pray for safety for Gordon and Phil and Ted and Judi as they travel to church appeals this weekend. |
Saturday 5th |
This weekend Phil is speaking in Rugeley, Staffordshire and Judi in Reading. Please pray for them and, that people will give generously to the work of EVC. |
Sunday 6th |
Continue to pray that there will be parishioners who will take out child sponsorship. |
Monday 7th |
When children complete each stage of their education, advice is given by EVC Staff and Father Boniface, about the next best step. Pray that they will be willing to follow this advice so that in years to come they do not face disappointment with their results. |
Tuesday 8th |
Continue to pray for the teaching staff in each of the schools, that they will prepare well and teach enthusiastically. |
Wednesday 9th |
Continue to pray that all our sponsored children will learn to value education and the opportunity they have to study in good schools. Pray for each one to reach their full potential. |
Thursday 10th |
This month a new member of staff has joined the EVC staff team to assist Gonzaga with the children’s accounts. Pray she will be committed to the work, listen to the explanations given and love the work she does. |
Friday 11th |
At times, some children drop out of the sponsorship scheme. Pray that succeeding in school will become a motivation for them and that their parents will learn to value the opportunity their children have, so that this does not happen. |
Saturday 12th |
Pray for all our sponsors and give thanks for the faithful way they support the children they help. |
Sunday 13th |
Continue to pray for those who completed education last year, that each one will find a job and be of help and support to their families. |
Monday 14th |
Pray that these children will stay in touch with the EVC staff and, through them, their sponsors. Pray they will be positive about mentoring the younger children so that they see what studying makes possible. |
Tuesday 15th |
Pray for the EVC Trustees who, as the charity grows, are carrying an ever increasing work load. Pray for stamina and an ability to use their time well. |
Wednesday 16th |
Pray for Mirielle taking over the administration of Gift Aid for EVC. Give thanks for her willingness to help in this way. |
Thursday 17th |
The Easter season is a very busy time for Father Boniface and Father Michael. Pray for them in all their responsibilities. |
Friday 18th |
Give thanks for new people volunteering with EVC in the UK and pray for them as they begin to take over some of the admin tasks EVC has. |
Saturday 19th |
Pray for Joseph and Josephine, headteachers in the primary schools EVC uses. Pray they will plan wisely and lead each school well. |
Sunday 20th |

Monday 21st |
Give thanks for David, for all his work on the new database. Pray that this new facility will enable admin tasks to be carried out more quickly. |
Tuesday 22nd |
Pray for new income streams for the charity to be developed, so that we are not so dependent on church appeals. |
Wednesday 23rd |
Pray for all the support staff in the schools, the school nurses, matrons, security men and caterers. |
Thursday 24th |
Pray that God will open more doors for speaking opportunities - in schools, local fundraising groups and churches of other denominations. |
Friday 25th |
There are many extra curricular activities in which the children can take part. Pray that they will be keen to be involved and so gain a well rounded education. |
Saturday 26th |
This weekend Judi and Ted are returning to St Albans church, Hornchurch to speak about EVC’s work. Pray for this time. |
Sunday 27th |
Pray for good and positive relationships among the children and between teaching staff and their pupils. |
Monday 28th |
Continue to pray for the EVC staff team, that they will love what they do and be able to deal with an ever increasing work load. |
Tuesday 29th |
Pray for the boards of governors in the two primary schools, that they will give good direction and make wise decisions. |
Wednesday 30th |
The EVC Board will meet next weekend. Pray for this time, that God will lead in any decisions which need to be made. |
