Girls' dormitory building work is nearing completion

Here comes the sun - Saving daylight in Uganda

In the UK, we are entering into British Summertime and can look forward to enjoying longer days, with over 16 hours of daylight in the summer. But Uganda does not observe Daylight Saving Time, regardless of the time of year, the sun rises and sets at about the same time, giving around 12 hours of daylight.
Plug into the Power of Prayer

We feel that prayer is a vital way of supporting EVC's work with poor children. On the last Wednesday of every month, we warmly invite you to join our new prayer group held at Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, Kempston, commencing at 8 pm.

On a bitterly cold Saturday in December, a small group of EVC volunteers got together, along with friends from St Joseph’s and Christ the King parishes of Bedford. The intrepid group assembled in Morrisons supermarket forecourt at Ampthill Road, hoping their carolling would raise funds and awareness…

150 Sponsored Children

We are so pleased to report that we've already hit our target for 2017 of 150 children sponsored in Ugandan schools.
EVC Variety Performance Raises The Roof Again

All who attended the show this year were entertained by a range of musical performances of different styles. It was also an informative evening about life in Uganda, illustrating the urgent need for funds. The event raised over £1,000 for our school dormitory building project.
The EVC Uganda Show Will Go On
August 2017
Last year, our Variety Performance was a resounding success, where over £1,000 was raised for the poor and orphaned children of Southern Uganda! A follow-up show is scheduled for September 23rd 2017 at 7:30pm.
