Newcastle Chaplaincy's Come Dine With Me Fundraiser

December 2015

Newcastle Chaplaincy has adopted EVC Uganda as their charity for the 2015/2016 academic year.

The Chaplaincy held a “Come Dine with Me” evening for new students at the start of the academic year to be welcomed to the Chaplaincy community life and to be introduced to experienced students who have ‘been there done that.’

The meal itself was a profound success, with a variety of exquisite foods on display made by students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. During the evening a raffle was held raising a generous sum of £40!

Their efforts to raise awareness and funds through their various events will help supply an entire community with a clean water by supporting our Water Bore hole project.

We would like express our sincerely gratitude to Mia Fox, the university chaplain, and the students of the Chaplaincy for their hard work and commitment to spreading awareness and running fundraising events.

We are touched to see the student community of the Newcastle chaplaincy rallying together to make the catholic faith proud, charitably coming together and support EVC.
