Sponsored beard growing by the Riseley Men's Group

April 2017

Many thanks to the men's group of All Saints Church in Riseley, who raised funds for EVC Uganda simply by letting their beards grow!

Back in January this year, Dudley Ferdinando, Bill Wallis and Keith Williams of the Riseley Men's Group very generously raised £1,194.83 with gift aid by means of sponsored beard growing! Jolly good show chaps! They are pictured below, showcasing their fine growths of facial hair:

The money raised will go to provide individual solar lights for children in our project in Uganda to help them with their homework at night both at home and in school. The children and their families live in areas where there is no electricity, and with much fear and superstition about darkness.

Our deep thanks and appreciation to all involved in this fundraising event — The Riseley Men's Group have been very supportive of EVC and continue to work at raising funds for EVC Projects. Whisker-free Keith and Dudley are pictured, presenting the sponsorship money to Chairman Ted Fawcett and Vice Chairman Gordon Lland.
